When therapy hasn’t fully resolved the deeper patterns
Many people who seek therapy have already done meaningful personal work. They may have attended therapy before, read extensively about trauma or healing, and tried different strategies to change patterns in their lives. Yet something still feels stuck.
You may notice recurring patterns in relationships, difficulty trusting others, cycles of anxiety or emotional overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from yourself that persists despite your best efforts.
Often these experiences are connected to complex trauma, nervous system conditioning, and deeply learned emotional patterns that cannot always be resolved through insight alone.
This is the type of work Molly Steranko specializes in.
Founder, Restore Counseling & Consulting
Molly Steranko is the founder and owner of Restore Counseling & Consulting. She brings more than twenty-five years of experience as a therapist and healer, with the past decade focused specifically on the treatment of complex trauma, dissociation, and deeply embedded emotional learning patterns.
Her work centers on helping individuals identify and transform the underlying neural and emotional patterns that can keep people feeling trapped in cycles of distress, even after years of personal growth efforts.
Over the past ten years, Molly has also engaged deeply in her own personal healing journey while studying alongside respected professionals within the complex trauma field. This combination of professional training and lived exploration informs a therapeutic style that is both clinically grounded and deeply attuned to the complexity of healing.
Clients commonly come to this work when they are experiencing:
• Difficulty with intimacy, trust, or closeness in relationships
• Persistent anxiety, depression, or grief
• Dissociation or feeling disconnected from self or others
• Addictive or compulsive patterns
• Spiritual or existential struggles
• Emotional patterns that repeat despite insight and effort
• Chronic stress-related physical symptoms such as migraines, inflammation, or unexplained pain
• The effects of complex trauma or intergenerational trauma
Many clients have previously participated in therapy but are looking for deeper trauma-informed approaches that address the nervous system and emotional memory systems directly.
Molly integrates several trauma-informed and experiential therapeutic models that support nervous system regulation, memory reconsolidation, and emotional integration.
Her primary clinical approaches include:
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Ego State Therapy
• Coherence Therapy
Molly is EMDR Certified and also serves as a consultant to therapists completing EMDR training, supporting clinicians as they develop competency in trauma-focused treatment.
Molly partners with Journey Clinical, allowing her to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as an option for clients who may benefit from this emerging treatment approach.
KAP combines psychotherapy with carefully monitored ketamine sessions to support deeper emotional processing and therapeutic insight when appropriate.
In addition to traditional therapy sessions, Molly offers retreat-style therapy intensives for individuals seeking deeper or more focused therapeutic work.
Intensives allow for extended therapy sessions or multi-day formats that can help clients make meaningful progress more quickly than weekly sessions alone.
These experiences provide dedicated time and space for deeper exploration and integration.
Clients who tend to benefit most from this work often:
• Have participated in therapy before but still feel stuck
• Notice repeating relationship patterns they cannot seem to change
• Experience dissociation or disconnection from parts of themselves
• Want a trauma-informed approach that goes beyond talk therapy
• Are seeking deeper personal transformation rather than symptom management alone
Molly works with clients:
• In-person in Pennsylvania
• Via telehealth in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Restore Counseling & Consulting was created as a space for individuals seeking thoughtful, depth-oriented therapy that honors the complexity of healing.
The work is collaborative, respectful, and paced carefully to support lasting change.
